You probably need to contact Epson support or try an Epson printer community forum to obtain the best answer available. However, although this technique is recommended for identifying blocked nozzles, I don't know whether this is also suitable for identifying an individual cartridge when its usage counter runs down (a black, cyan, magenta or yellow line becoming very faint or even absent). Unless the printer is refusing to do anything until you replace the offending print cartridge, then the technique shown in this YouTube video might allow you to spot which ink is going missing.
